First World Conference.
First International Conference on Human Rights was held during April - May 1968 in Teheran, Iran. This conference was held to mark the 20th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human rights. The main purpose of the conference was the Vienna Declaration and Programme of action. This is very important in the history of “Human Rights” because it the first conference, 7000 participants attended to discuss and solve issues regarding human rights.
New Zealand Gives Women The Vote.
New Zealand gives women the vote, it was the first country to do this, on 19 September 1893. Women voted for the first time in the election held on 28 November 1893. Elizabeth Yates became a Mayor of Onehunga, this was the first woman who became a Mayor. This event is important because it was an influence on women not only women but also to other people in the future, so that they have the right to vote!
World War 1.
World War 1 began on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1981 and it was centred in Europe. There were rights being developed during that time. The Hague Peace conference had created a set of rules for the Prisoners –of – war camps (POW) but during this time, POW’s didn’t follow those rules. So from this situation, the Red Cross had made a new and improved set of rules for POW’s. They have learnt from their mistakes to make human rights better in the future.
1. I think the first one is New Zealand because it shows the world that it is the start of equality to the world.
2. The 2nd one is the first world conference because without it, there will be no other conference and it will not help the world to develop.
3. The third one is World war one was not that important.
I think in the project I was the Resource Investigator because we (me and sophia) were working together and and I was helping her work and I was trying to develop it and she was helping my work and was developing it.
